OVERVIEW

• During the month after Tavern Championships, Regional Championships are held in markets with at least 5 hosting Taverns.
•  
• The Top Players from each bar are invited to compete for even bigger prizes and the chance to move on to the National Championship.
•  
• The Regional Championship schedule & locations will be posted on the website towards the end of each season with the goal of choosing locations that are centrally located between the participating venues. Please keep in mind that this is a REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP which means that some travel (generally 1-2 hours) will be required to compete.
•  
• The Top 10% from each Regional Championship Event will qualify for the National Championships.

QUALIFYING

• Top 10 Tavern Ranking – Every player that is ranked in the Top 10 at a venue for the season that regionals are being played for.
  
• Top 10% From Semi-Finals – Every player that finished in the Top 10% during a location’s Semi-Final Tavern Championship. (i.e. players that advanced to the Tavern Championship Finals)
• Tavern Guest Seat – Each tavern receives a Free Regional Seat to give to any player/customer they would like. Often times it is given to the TD or the Big Spender in the bar.
• Second Chance Tournament – The winner of the Second Chance Tournament on Tavern Championship night.
• Regional Ranking – Players can also qualify for Regional Championships based on their Regional Ranking however there is no set # of players that qualify in this way. Regional Ranking Qualifying is based on a number of factors including number of participating venues, # of players already qualified, etc.

OTHER NOTES:

• Regional Championship Seats ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE. Only those players who qualified can play.
•  
• If you are in a market where there are no other hosting taverns or no available Regional Championship, your Tavern Champion will advance directly to the National Championship! Please check with your WTE Rep for clarification.
•  
• If your tavern would like to be considered to host a Regional Championship, you must have the ability to seat a 120 player tournament comfortably. If you are interested please e-mail Taverns@WorldTavernPoker.com with the subject line Regional Championship Hosting Request.

Single Bar Markets (Fall 2011
If there is not a Regional event within a reasonable driving distance, your bar will not be part of the regional championship events. However, because of this your Tavern Champion will go straight to the National Championship!

Check this list of bars in Single Markets to see if you are on the list. Remember the Tavern Champion from the bars on the list will be going to Nationals.
