2008 Tournament of Champions
The 2008 National Tournament of Champions will be held in Las Vegas in Fall 2008. Details will be coming soon.
The Tournament of Champions promotion is an incredible promotion where you are competing for a $10,000 seat in the WSOP! This is your chance to win millions!
The Tournament of Champions is separate from the 4 annual National Championships and exclusive to bars with the TOC medallion next to their name on the schedules page.
The Format
o Every player who comes in 1st, 2nd or 3rd at any Regular Season Tournament during the season qualifies for the end of season Tavern Tournament of Champions Tournament.
o Each time you come in 1st, 2nd or 3rd, you will receive another 1,000 in starting chips at the Tavern TOC! So if you came in 1st, 2nd or 3rd five times during the season, you start with 9,000 in chips!
o The winner of each Tavern’s Tournament of Champions not only wins the Tournament of Champions Medallion (card marker) but also a seat in the Annual National Tournament of Champions held at Binion’s in Las Vegas where the winner will receive a $10,000 seat into the World Series of Poker Main Event! The 2008 National TOC will be held in the Fall 2008. Dates will be posted soon!
The Rules
o Only Regular Season Tournaments qualify you for the Tavern TOC.
o If the Winner of the Tavern TOC cannot or chooses not to attend, the seat is then awarded to the 2nd place finisher. If they also choose not to attend, the seat is then awarded to the 3rd place finisher. ONLY THE TOP 3 FINISHERS CAN TAKE THE SEAT.
o This seat is not transferable.
